Nigerian streaming service Naijalitz has a Smartphone App

The latest African music-streaming service making headlines is Naijalitz from Nigeria, which has been talking to the news site Music in Africa about its Smartphone App.

Launched earlier this year, it offers audio and video streams, including a radio-like discovery feature.

The company is also keen to trumpet the fact that it allows artists to upload their music directly to its platform, although there are other streaming services in Africa that have similarly-direct relationships too.

“On the Naijalitz platform, artists, fans and producers can communicate with each other via private message system and this encourages collaborations,” claimed the company. “We create opportunities online to showcase Nigerian talents and offline through house parties and music events organized by us to benefit upcoming independent artists.” Naijalitz hasn’t given any figures on its user numbers, for the moment.
