Edes Okojie Uwadia, popularly known by her artist name, Edes Okojie is a Nigerian Gospel music artist cum business woman who was short into music prominence by her hit singles,”Osa-osemwen” and “Oriamwonmor” in the 2017.Edes Okojie was born in October, 1992 into the family of Mr and Mrs Okojie, she’s the 1st child of a family of 3 and hails from Irrua town, Esan Central, Edo State. She began her music career at the tender age of 7, in her local church’s children choir which later translated into her studying music in the prestigious college of Education from 2011-2013, through the encouragement and support of her Mother, Mercy .Soon after graduation, in 2014,she took up apprenticeship with the legendary Palmer Omoruyi Band, to broaden her knowledge in stage performance and management and to also keep abreast with the entrepreneurial aspect of the industry. Upon completion,she swung into action with the release of her first studio album, ” OSA-OSEMWEN” which was dedicated to her late grandmother,the singles, ” OSA-OSEMWEN” and “ORIAMWANMOR” from the album immediately short her into prominence. This soon to be released single “LOVE”( AWEMWONMWAN), was inspired by the true life story of the undying love and commitment of her husband, Mr Osareren, to their marriage since inception, which she believes should be a template of what every God ordained marriage should be. She currently runs a band, “God anointed praise Band” and happily married to Mr Osareren Uwadia
