Did you know both Rema, Wizkid and Davido were all rappers at the beginning of their careers but they switched to Afrobeats for more cash ? Yes they did 😊.
Now Wizkid use to be in a group of 5 boys called the Glorious 5 and he use to use the name “Lil Prince”. He was very good at rap, I mean word play, flow, bars just name it. But he just had to switch due to the way singers in Africa were dominating, at the time you needed to be a singer like 2Face, Psquare, Banky W and the rest. Today wizkid is one of the greatest African Artistes ever. ❤️💜
Davido at the other hand at the beginning of his career use to school in the US, he was trying to be a hip-hop rapper due to the way hip-hop dominated the music scene at the time and also the place where he use to live (Atlanta) which is in America in we all know America is the heart of hip-hop. After the success of Wizkid and others Davido decided to move back home and do African Music. Today he has won multiple Awards, headlined multiple shows and concerts with billions of streams on streaming platforms. He’s now one of the Greatest African artiste to ever exist.
Rema who started his career in church with other boys in the choir like Alpha p p. They use to do group songs and he always raps with hards flows. He had couple of freestyles that he published on social media before @dprince found him. All this freestyles were all hip-hop and raps. D Prince was the one who told him to switch to Afrobeats and today you can see how well he has done for himself and for his family. Today Rema is considered amongst the biggest Artistes and most expensive musician from Africa in our time.
Moral Lesson: Always follow your roots, don’t leave your origine for the white man music. Rema, Wizkid & Davido all use to sound like American rappers.
