The family of a young woman who was discovered roaming at Obe Community in the state’s Nkanu West Local Government Area is being sought by the Enugu State Police Command.
A Good Samaritan brought the woman to Ozalla Police Division on January 20 according to a statement made by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, on Tuesday, January 24.
According to the PPRO, efforts to obtain relevant information from the lady about her family had been fruitless as she appeared to be in a state of ”mental disorder.”
“The Enugu State Police Command wishes to inform the public that the young girl of about 20 years old, whose photograph appears herewith, was found wandering at Obe in Nkanu West LGA and taken to Ozalla Police Division on 20/01/2023, by a Good Samaritan,” the statement read.
“All efforts so far made to obtained relevant information that will help to reunite her with her parents or family members, have proved abortive, as she seems to be in a state of mental disorder. Hence, she has at different times, given the multiple names of “Gloria”, “Ada” and “Mercy” as her names.
“Consequently, the parents, family members, friends and/or anyone that could identify and help the Command reunite the young lady with her family, should please report to Ozalla Police Division or call the Division on: 08053934696.
“Such persons can alternatively report at the nearest Police Station with this information, or call the Command’s hotlines on: 08032003702, 08075390883, 08098880172 or 08086671202.”
